The Creeds and Confessions
It is essential we know what we believe and be able to articulate what we beleive.
Why are they important?
It is essential we know what we believe and be able to articulate what we beleive. First, reading the Holy Bible, memorizing scripture text as we are told in Ephesians 6:17 gives us the sword of the Spirit, while the historical creeds and confessions are tools that help us articulate our beliefs.
The resource below provides the reader with The Creeds; The Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed and the Athanasian Creed. Also included are the Subordinate Doctrinal Statements; The Heidelberg Catechism, The Belgic Confession of Faith and the Canons of Dort, along with a summary of each.
